Assisted Conception

When you have been trying so long for a baby and finally find out that there is a reason why one or both of you have been struggling to conceive, there is often a huge sense of relief. Someone has finally validated what you may already have had an inkling about.

So now, you have a way forward in the form of assisted conception. IVF and its associated assisted reproductive techniques have come a long way since the late seventies, and you will have a wide choice of options and decisions ahead of you.

Treatment is much more focused and couples find themselves drawn very quickly into a schedule of appointments and processes, which in turn can produce a mix of emotions in both partners. One of the most emotionally charged stages in IVF is when fertilised eggs are transferred into the uterus.  Success at this stage is recognised in leading research as being significantly higher in women who feel calm and relaxed.

Whether you are approaching your first round of IVF or a subsequent one, the emotional and financial stress of the whole experience can take its toll. We can help you by ensuring that you are emotionally calm and clear of any significant emotional triggers associated with past events and future fears. In short, we can reset your emotional state and arm you with the tools to remain positive, calm and as relaxed as possible as you progress through your treatment.
