Postnatal Recovery

Postnatal recovery is as much about physical healing as it is about emotional healing. The long awaited arrival of our babies might not always go according to expectations and since childbirth is a very subjective experience, two women with similar birth experiences can have a very different take on the event. When a woman feels a complete or partial loss of control during birth, emotions can cause overwhelm and go beyond the ‘baby blues’ commonly experienced shortly after birth.

The Pure Therapy Programme and Essential Support Programme provide specialist therapy and support to

  • Clear the shock and emotional trauma of a baby arriving prematurely.
  • Dissolve the mixed emotions and resentment of a birth when a baby arrives late.
  • Clear the emotional overwhelm of a long labour, to aid bonding with your newborn.
  • Dissolve the emotional layer from a traumatic birth so that you regain your confidence.
  • Clear longstanding birth trauma which has resulted in Postnatal PTSD symptoms.
  • Clear the emotional overwhelm of symptoms contributing to Postnatal Depression.

The case studies below demonstrate a mixture of the issues and emotions which can hinder postnatal recovery. I hope that the experiences of others may inspire you to call and find out how I can help you too.
